6K Energy and Gotion agree seven-year LFP battery materials supply deal

6K Energy, a division of 6K, based in North Andover, Massachusetts, USA, and Gotion Inc, an energy solutions company that aims to innovate and create the next generation of battery technology based in Fremont, California, USA, have signed a seven-year offtake agreement for LFP starting in 2026.
Under the agreement, 6K Energy’s Jackson, Tennessee, plant will supply the cathode active material to Gotion’s plant in Manteno, Illinois, for lithium-ion battery cells and energy storage systems.
Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, Gotion is a fast-growing energy solutions company that aims to innovate and create the next generation of battery technology. The company has R&D centres in Ohio, China, Japan, Singapore and Europe.
6K Energy’s UniMelt technology has the versatility to produce almost any lithium-ion battery material, including NMC, LFP, LLZO, LMO, LTO, LNMO, as well as silicon anode.
