Ceratizit Group expands in India with new WNT subsidiary

Ceratizit S.A. has announced plans for further expansion of its international business with the group’s WNT division opening a new subsidiary, Wincut Machining Solutions India Private Limited, in Kolkata, India.
Within the Ceratizit Group the WNT division represents the sales area of precision tools for small and medium sized companies in the metal cutting industry. WNT India will supply the metal cutting tool market in India which, states the company, is a very buoyant and dynamic market driven by the automotive and aerospace industry.
“25 years after its establishment, WNT dares to take its first steps into Asia with the foundation of WNT India. A sales team of highly experienced application engineers will be focused primarily on the Indian industrial urban centres” stated Jacques Lanners, Representative for the Executive Board of the Ceratizit Group.
Ceratizit, headquartered in Mamer, Luxembourg, is a market leader in hard material products for wear protection and cutting tools. It has a presence in more than 50 countries around the world providing services to customers in the automotive industry, mechanical engineering, oil industry, medical systems, electronics and tools and mould construction. The Ceratizit Group has been manufacturing hard metal products in India for over 10 years.
