Dick Mason who has recently retired

from Ametek Specialty Metal Products

Ametek Specialty Metal Products has announced the retirement of Richard (Dick) Mason after nearly 34 years with the company. Mason joined Specialty Metal Products, then a part of Pfizer, Inc., in 1980 as its Milwaukee Regional Sales Manager. That business was acquired by Ametek, Inc. from Pfizer in 1988. Mason’s most recent position was as Vice President of Business and Market Development.

Over the years Mason has held increasingly responsible positions in sales and marketing. He was promoted to Division Vice President of Sales & Marketing in 2001, and under his leadership, sales and marketing expanded into 34 countries. In 2010, he assumed additional responsibilities for market and business development. He focused on developing opportunities in key global regions, especially the BRIC countries. More recently, he provided his experience and oversight to Ametek’s clad metal and cookware product lines.

Ametek Specialty Metal Products is a world leader in metal powders, high purity strip, ultra-thin metal foil, specialty wire, metal matrix composites, engineered shaped components and clad metal products with numerous patents in technically advanced metallurgical materials. It manufactures or consolidates a variety of metal alloys, including stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, cobalt-based alloys, titanium and titanium alloys and master alloys. For over 50 years, it has developed innovative, proprietary products tailored to specific customer applications.
