Electrolytic copper powders from GGP Metalpowder AG

Established in May 2010, GGP Metalpowder AG, with offices in Fuerth and a production facility in Spalt, both in Bavaria, Germany, is supplying copper powders produced by electrolysis and silver-coated copper powders worldwide, as well as water atomised bronze and copper powders, leaded-bronze powders, tin and zinc powders.

The company states that in a very short period is has become an important strategic partner for many customers internationally. The production facility, which was originally owned by Ecka but not included in the acquisition of Ecka by Platinum Equity, has more than 100 years of expertise in the production of metal powders and started its copper powder electrolysis more than 50 years ago.

Sabine Krückl, Key Account Manager at GGP, told ipmd.net,“Nearly all powder-consuming industries are now supplied by GGP and used for carbon brushes, brake and friction linings, chemical industry, the sintering industry, electronics, brazing, welding, and diamond tools – to name just a few.”

“What makes GGP Metalpowder AG unique is its range of products, more than 1000 different specifications are in use to serve each customer’s particular needs. Additionally, the extremely low lead-content in our dendritical Cu powder (< 20 ppm) is especially appreciated by end-users.”

GGP states that it operates a state-of-the art production facility with a highly skilled, long-term experienced and motivated staff. The company has a total production capacity of more than 15,000 tons of powders per year. GGP is certified ISO/TS 16949:2009, ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
