The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that its upcoming two-day Energy Seminar will focus on the use of Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) in nuclear applications. The seminar will be held at Institut Universitaire de Technologie Le Creusot, France, and takes place March 12-13, 2024.

The event is open to all and is expected to attract HIP service providers, part makers, end-users and metallurgists in the energy sector.

The programme includes the following presentations:

  • ‘Development of Powder Metallurgy in the nuclear industry: an overview of Framatome activities on L-PBF and HIP technologies’ Dr Louis Lemarquis, Framatome
