The European Powder Metallurgy Association’s Young Engineers Days will take place September 15-16, 2025, running alongside the Euro PM2025 Congress & Exhibition at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow, UK.

The free-to-attend event includes lectures on the basics of Powder Metallurgy, access to the Euro PM2025 exhibition and plenary sessions, as well as coffee breaks, lunch, the Posters reception, a networking dinner on September 15, and one night of accommodation.

Open to a maximum of fifty participants, the Young Engineers Days are run as part of the association’s commitment to helping raise awareness and interest in Powder Metallurgy careers among young engineers. They are aimed at students studying a subject related to PM, such as Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, etc.

The programme for the Young Engineers Days is as follows:

September 15, 2025

  • 09:00 – Plenary Presentation
  • 14:00 – 14:45 Introduction to PM – Prof Marco Actis Grande (Politecnico di Torino)
  • 14:45 – 15:30 PM Materials – Mikael Schuisky (Sandvik Additive Manufacturing)
  • 16:00 – 16:45 PM Production Routes – Prof Mónica Campos Gomez (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid)
  • 16:45 – 17:30 Applications for PM Products – Dr Steven Moseley (Hilti Corporation
  • 17:45 – 19:00 Poster reception

September 16, 2025

  • 09:00 – 12:30 Exhibition tour
  • 13:30 – 16:30 Site visit (TBA)
