Management changes at Swiss press manufacturer Osterwalder

Osterwalder Group, a manufacturer of hydraulic, mechanical-hydraulic and electric powder presses based in Lyss, Switzerland, has announced that the appointment of Guido Pinna as the its new CEO.

The company stated, “After six years of intensive development work on the Osterwalder Group, Rolf Graf has decided to hand-over the management of the Group to Guido Pinna starting January 1, 2013. In his function as Chairman of the Board, Rolf Graf will concentrate his activities on the strategic development of the Group. During the initial hand-over phase, he will remain in charge and finalise some of the on-going strategic projects.”

Pinna is an executive with many years of international experience in the heavy machine building industry. During the past 15 years, stated Osterwalder, he successfully managed an international contract manufacturing company with around 400 employees and three production sites. The company was one of the leading contract manufacturers within Europe.

Osterwalder’s product range offers system solutions for pressing iron, ceramic, tungsten carbide powders and other materials to small precision parts or sophisticated structural parts. The company’s CNC-controlled presses can be equipped with cross pressing unit, multiplaten die-set and linear handling system or robot.
