Metal Powder Works, based in Clinton, Pennsylvania, USA, has announced the appointment of Greg Bartley as Vice President of Commercial Operations. In this role, he will assume responsibility for commercial operations, sales and marketing and communications initiatives.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bartley to our leadership team,” said MPW CEO John Barnes, “His deep expertise in engineering, strategic sales, and business development will be invaluable as we continue to expand our commercial operations and drive innovation.”

Bartley has an extensive background in engineering, sales, and strategic business development. He began his career with General Motors’ Delphi Chassis Systems, specialising in process engineering for automotive component manufacturing.

Through his career, Bartley has held key leadership positions at Alumax, Alcoa, and Allegheny Technologies (ATI). In these roles, he is said to have successfully leveraged mergers, acquisitions and strategic relationships to drive business growth. More recently, he led sales commercialisation for Continuum Powders (formerly MolyWorks), focusing on advanced materials and Additive Manufacturing.

“MPW is perfectly positioned for growth in Additive Manufacturing, MIM and HDH powder markets, leveraging the patented DirectPowder process. I anticipate the ability to deliver competitive advantages to a wide range of powder applications while also addressing the widest range of market applicability among specialised powder producers,” Bartley added.

Bartley holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and a Master of Science in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Dayton, Ohio.
