“We have opted for the Verder Group because it is a successful, family-owned group of companies which gives us the possibility to continue operating as an independent company. ATM will greatly profit from the resources and experience of the group, thus obtaining an optimum starting basis for our international expansion,” stated Managing Director Heinrich Müller who founded the company over 35 years ago.

“With the acquisition of ATM the Verder Scientific Division will become the market leader for mechanical sample preparation of solids,” stated Dr Jürgen Pankratz, Director of the Verder Scientific Division. “ATM’s product range perfectly complements the offering of Retsch, leading manufacturer of laboratory mills for sample preparation and also part of the Verder Group.”

As part of the Verder laboratory division, ATM will benefit from the international sales and marketing strength of the group, with activities in more than 80 countries. ATM employs 150 staff and will continue to operate out of the Mammelzen headquarters as an independent company.
