Miba AG, Laakirchen, Austria, reports that it has welcomed twenty-five new apprentices who will conduct their training at Miba locations in Austria. The company employs approximately 300 apprentices globally.

Twenty of the new apprentices will train as process technicians, three as mechatronics technicians and two as electrical technicians. In the first few weeks, the future engineers will complete their basic training at the Miba Academy in Laakirchen, before continuing their apprenticeship at the Miba production sites.

Along with receiving training, the apprentices were each gifted a tablet in order to incorporate digital applications such as learning and simulation programmes into their training.

“Miba apprentices have many professional and career opportunities in a financially stable, successful and long-term company,” commented F. Peter Mitterbauer, Miba CEO.

“Today’s apprentices are tomorrow’s specialists. An apprenticeship at Miba is also the start of an exciting professional future. Because with Miba technologies we are contributing to a cleaner planet, and sustainability and environmental friendliness will be even more important topics in the future than they are today.”
