Plansee receives awards as one of Austria’s most innovative companies

June 29, 2020

Plansee Group, headquartered in Reutte, Austria, has received an Innovation Award from the Austrian business magazine trend and the Austrian Society for Consumer Studies (ÖGVS), who set out to find the most innovative companies in Austria.

As part of the innovation awards selection process, the number of patents submitted and granted by Austrian companies in 2018 and 2019 is said to have played a key role. The number of patents, as well as their citation frequency, reportedly indicates a high technical relevance of the respective inventions, explains Plansee. The patents were determined with the help of the International Patent Classification System (IPC).

Plansee states that it received seven awards and would like to thank all employees involved. In 2018/2019, the group applied for eleven patents in Austria, and currently holds more than 1,000 individual patents globally.
