With an opening ceremony in its new production hall in Reutte/Austria, PMG Asturias Powder Metal S.A.U. has officially commissioned its new production line for planetary carriers. The fully automated production line will generate annual sales of approximately 5.6 million euros.

PMG Group has invested approximately 5.1 for building the new production line. Since April this year planetary carriers are being delivered just-in-time to General Motors in Straßbourg. 14 highly trained employees guarantee production around the clock.

Michael Krehl, Co-President of PMG Group stated in his inaugural address ‘Thanks to everybody who was involved in realizing this project from scratch in a very limited period of time. This impressively demonstrates that PMG Group is well prepared for future challenges, if all parties involved pull together: Our German colleagues from PMG Füssen have adapted production technology from Japan for the requirements in Reutte/Austria. And the service functions of Plansee Group made the whole infrastructure available.“

The new production line of PMG Group is fully automated and equipped with state-of-the-art production technology and as such is considered as groundbreaking for future production lines of PMG Group.
