The deadline for authors wishing to submit an abstract for inclusion in the PM2014 World Congress has been extended to September 20, 2013.

Held once every six years in North America, the World Congress will take place at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, Orlando, Florida, USA, May 18–22 2014. Organised and sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) in cooperation with APMI International, PM2014 will be the most important international PM event of the year.

Abstracts can address all aspects of Powder Metallurgy and particulate materials technology. A number of special topic areas have also been identified for in-depth discussion/focus within the special interest programs. Planned special interest programs currently include:

  • NDT/Failure Analysis
  • Machinability
  • Fatigue
  • Technologies for PM Growth

A major trade exhibition will also feature international suppliers of metal powders, components, equipment and related services.

PM2014 will be co-chaired by Russell A. Chernenkoff (Metaldyne LLC ) and W. Brian James, FAPMI (Hoeganaes Corporation).

The 9th Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials Conference

The deadline for receiving abstracts for the 9th Tungsten, Refractory & Hard materials Conference has also been extended to September 20. Held in conjunction with the PM2014 World Congress, this conference is also organised by MPIF. All abstracts on the topic of refractory metals, carbides & ceramics should be submitted for the tungsten conference.

Abstract submission for both conferences is done through the same online submission site.
