increase tool life and productivity

The new grades TK1001 and TK2001 represent a completely new generation of tools for the turning of cast iron, and are coated with the company’s unique patented Duratomic® material.

TK1001 is predominantly used for grey cast iron machining which requires a high level of wear and abrasion resistance. The unique  Duratomic® coating technology ensures higher wear resistance and longer tool life, improves edge line integrity and embodies high levels of deformation and heat resistance, states the company.

TK2001 is recommended for when challenging machining conditions require high durability and extreme stability of the cutting edges. The Duratomic technology helps TK2001 to achieve peak performance, in particular with regard to flank wear, even under unstable conditions or interrupted cuts.

Seco Tools is a leading manufacturer of high performance metal cutting tools with headquarters in Fagersta, Sweden and is represented in more than 50 countries worldwide with 40 subsidiaries, distributors and channel partners.
