Solar Atmospheres announces new US facility in Connecticut

Heat treating company Solar Atmospheres has announced plans to open its seventh US heat treat operation at an existing industrial facility in Berlin, Connecticut, USA. Located in the Spruce Brook Industrial Park, the 2,600 m2 facility is slated for completion in 2026.

The new facility will further expand Solar Atmospheres’s footprint and vacuum heat treating capabilities in the US Northeast region. The company also stated that the expansion will enable it to offer more personalised service to its local partners.

“We are excited to establish a new presence in Connecticut,” said Jamie Jones, president of Solar Atmospheres of Eastern PA and Connecticut. “This strategic location allows us to better serve our growing customer base and continue supporting the aerospace, medical, and commercial manufacturing markets throughout New England.”

The new facility adds to locations in Souderton and Hermitage, Pennsylvania; Fontana and El Cajon, California; Greenville, South Carolina; and Chesterfield, Michigan.
