Ipsen USA, Cherry Valley, Illinois, USA, has installed a TITAN® vacuum furnace for Stack Metallurgical Group, Portland, Oregon, USA, at its facility in Spokane Valley, Washington, USA. Stack Metallurgical Group is Nadcap accredited and provides commercial heat treatment services across the Northwestern United States.

Stack Spokane, formerly known as Inland NW Metallurgical Services, is one of the group’s four locations. It operates four Ipsen furnaces, with the group operating a dozen more in its Portland location. The newly-installed TITAN H6 vacuum furnace has a graphite hot zone, load size of 889 mm (36 in) x 889 mm (36 in) x 1,219 mm (48 in) and can process up to 1,361 kg (3,000 lbs).

Installation of the TITAN H6 2-bar vacuum furnace was completed in late 2019, and it will reportedly be used to process critical aerospace components. Ron Decker, General Manager of Stack Spokane, commented, “It was an easy choice adding another Ipsen furnace to our offering. We count on Ipsen for a versatile product that delivers great results.”
