2011 in the category “Best Innovation”

GKN Sinter Metals has received an award for innovation in ZF Group’s 2011 Supplier Awards. Since 2007, ZF has been presenting awards to its best performing suppliers. “They play an essential role in a perfect supply and performance chain and, in their capacity as direct interfaces to the vehicle manufacturers, they are extremely important,” stated Dr Stefan Sommer, member of ZF’s Board of Management who is in charge of Materials Management.

The award ceremony took place at the “Materials Management Symposium” in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where international experts and managers from ZF meet annually to share their experience and develop strategies for purchasing and logistics. In a standardized election procedure, a jury from the fields of Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, and Technology voted on the winners of this year’s supplier award in the run-up to the event.
